Euglandina rosea, one of the main predators of the Liguus

The Euglandina snail, a terrestrial, is one of the main predators of the Liguus.
This snail is found throughout the South Florida area. Though a ground dwelling
carnivore it has been observed, on occasions to climb the trunks of trees, possibly
on the hunt for Liguus. The Liguus is most vulnerable when laying eggs on the ground
near the host tree or when traveling from tree to tree.
